I was working in Saitama for a spell when this picture was snapped. Saitama is, uh, a bit "rural" when compared to Tokyo. The person I was traveling with had a hang up about Japanese food and was rather picky. I say, pick up the chopsticks, toss in the food and see what happens. I've only had a few bad experiences following this method of operation, and the Japanese really seem to appreciate folks that are willing to sample something other than cooked chicken.
The deep fried chicken tails were delicious.
